Entering Castel Flavon, you will find an ancient vineyard lining our gate. To us, culinary pleasure is directly linked to and enhanced by a glass of fine wine. Thus, we are cultivating two exceptional wines bearing the label of Castel Flavon in the porphyry slopes around the castle: the Zweigelt from the southern growing areas develops a special maturity and a pronounced flavor structure. Our Lagrein from the higher areas is untypically light, making it an excellent companion to lighter dishes.
Additionally, we grow herbs and vegetables in the castle’s garden, which end up on many of our plates. In our orchard meadow, we grow old South Tyrolean apple and pear varieties. And below the castle, in Alsago, many locals make good use of our allotment gardens.
